Marissa Krakowitch

Marissa Krakowitch, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist and Certified Autism Specialist with more than 20 years of clinical experience providing assessment, intervention and therapeutic support to individuals with complex and diverse communication needs. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Rhode Island and her master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Seton Hall University.
Throughout her career Marissa has specialized in special education settings, supporting individuals with a broad range of developmental, neurological and communication needs. Her clinical expertise includes receptive and expressive language, social-pragmatic communication, functional communication, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), speech intelligibility, and feeding and swallowing. She develops individualized, evidence-based interventions built around each student's strengths, needs and functional goals.
Marissa believes that effective communication extends beyond verbal speech, and she is committed to giving every individual multimodal ways to express wants, needs, thoughts, preferences and emotions. Her approach emphasizes functional skill development, student-centered intervention and carrying communication skills across settings and communication partners, so that students grow into confident communicators at school, at work, in the community and at home. Outside of work she enjoys time with her husband, children and new rescue pup, and stays active in her community.
