For generations, A. Harry Moore Laboratory School has benefited from its relationship with a university community in Jersey City. In 2026, the merger of Kean University and New Jersey City University created Kean Jersey City, beginning a new chapter for AHM, its students, and the surrounding community.

Our university story
1963: Jersey City State College begins the laboratory-school relationship with A. Harry Moore.
New Jersey City University: The college becomes New Jersey City University, and AHM continues as its laboratory school for decades.
2024: L.I.F.T. opens at Grossnickle Hall on the university campus.
2026: Kean University and New Jersey City University become one. The campus becomes Kean Jersey City, and AHM begins its next chapter as a laboratory school of Kean University.
