Families are invited to tour A. Harry Moore at any time. Call the main office at 201-200-3138 to arrange a visit, we would love to show you around.
How placement works
Placement at AHM is made through your school district's Child Study Team. Here is what the path usually looks like.
1. Talk with your district
Start with your school district's Child Study Team (CST) about whether AHM may be the right fit.
2. Referral to AHM
Your district sends a formal referral. Contact Pupil Services at 201-200-3136 with questions.
3. Information review
We review your child's IEP and records to make sure their needs can be met here.
4. Intake & visit
We meet with you and your child. Two forms are completed before the interview: the Interdisciplinary Intake Form and the Medical Intake Form.
5. Team discussion
AHM, your family, and your district talk through placement, services, and transportation.
6. Welcome!
We plan your child's schedule, therapies, and transportation with you and your district.

Who we serve
AHM accepts referrals for students ages 3 to 21 classified as Preschool Disabled, Learning and Language Disabled, or Multiply Disabled.
