Cynthia Cherian

Cynthia Cherian is an occupational therapist at A. Harry Moore. She earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Pace University and is pursuing her Doctor of Occupational Therapy at Touro University, with graduation anticipated in December 2026. She is also a published researcher and co-author of Comparison of 3D Printing and Traditional Hand Orthosis Fabrication.
Cynthia joined A. Harry Moore in January 2024 and enjoys working with children with complex developmental needs. She values learning what makes each student unique and finding creative, practical ways to help them navigate the school day while building independence in everyday activities. Her professional interests include the relationship between the central nervous system, sensory processing and a child's ability to take part in daily living, school routines and other meaningful occupations; she believes regulation is an important foundation for participation, learning and independence.
Cynthia approaches occupational therapy with curiosity and creativity, recognizing that progress looks different for every student, and she strives to provide individualized, meaningful interventions that build on each child's strengths. Outside of school she enjoys time with family and friends, trying new foods, staying active and exploring new places.
