Ally Valde
Speech-Language Pathologist
Ms. Ally Valde is one of the speech-language pathologists at A. Harry Moore. She earned her master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a Bilingual Extension (Tagalog) from Teachers College, Columbia University, and her bachelor's degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences with a Certificate in Disability Studies from the University of Iowa.
Ally has wanted to be a school-based SLP since middle school and is passionate about helping children build foundational language skills. In graduate school she was a member of the LeadersProject lab, where she helped create PreSLAM: Making Meaningful Predictions, a non-standardized assessment for preschool language development. This is her second year at A. Harry Moore and her fourth as a school-based SLP, following work with the Bayonne Board of Education and the West New York School District.
A loud and proud Jersey City native, Ms. Ally enjoys printmaking, long walks through Liberty State Park and eating out with friends.
